Note: You will be able to access your remote SQL server DB using the free SQL Management studio from your desktop over the internet.

You must first create a SQL DB and associated SQL user in hosting control panel http://panel.hostasp.net, Web Site/ Website Properties/ Management- gives you remote website credentials: IIS Manager for Remote Administration.

To get the remote SQL Server address, goto your Client Area, click on spaces -> select the space and then Click on "View Space Summary" link on right side of the page. This page will give you - your SQL server name, sample third party application connection string (if desired). Schroll down to find your SQL server remote URL

We are now supporting remote database administration using IIS remote admin. We have setup required database extension on our IIS servers. You would need to connect to your website remotely using your local IIS over, that will establish secure connection to our web server, You will be then able to use database extension with local IIS to manage your databases.

We will soon be adding a article on IIS remote admin and database manager through IIS extension. For more details and information visit http://www.iis.net/downloads/microsoft/database-manager
